Bagaimana cara menonaktifkan redundansi dingin catu daya untuk Server Intel®?

Resolusi

Ada 2 cara untuk menonaktifkan/mengaktifkan redundansi dingin:

  • Menggunakan utilitas Syscfg (hanya lokal):
    1. Unduh utilitas Syscfg terbaru
    2. Buka zip file ke drive USB
    3. Boot sistem ke EFI shell
    4. Jalankan perintah berikut:
      • Untuk menonaktifkan : syscfg.efi /cr disable
      • Untuk mengaktifkan : syscfg.efi /cr enable
  • Menggunakan perintah IPMI (lokal atau jarak jauh):
    1. Unduh dan/atau instal utilitas IPMI yang diinginkan
      • Windows* : ipmitool atau ipmiutil
      • Linux* : instal ipmitool dari repositori, misalnya:
        • RHEL: yum menginstal ipmitool
        • SLES: zypper menginstal ipmitool
    2. Jalankan perintah berikut:
      • Untuk menonaktifkan:
        • ipmitool –I lanplus –H bmc_ip –U bmc_username –P bmc_password raw 0x30 0x2d 0x01 0x00
        • ipmiutil cmd -F lan2 –T 4 –V 4 –N bmc_ip –U bmc_username –P bmc_password 0 20 c0 2d 1 0
      • To enable:
        • ipmitool –I lanplus –H bmc_ip –U bmc_username –P bmc_password raw 0x30 0x2d 0x01 0x01
        • ipmiutil cmd -F lan2 –T 4 –V 4 –N bmc_ip –U bmc_username –P bmc_password 0 20 c0 2d 1 1
      • To get current state:
        • ipmitool –I lanplus –H bmc_ip –U bmc_username –P bmc_password raw 0x30 0x2e 0x01
        • ipmiutil cmd -F lan2 –T 4 –V 4 –N bmc_ip –U bmc_username –P bmc_password 0 20 c0 2e 1
        • The get command returns 2 bytes of data, the second byte indicates if cold redundancy is enabled (01) or disabled (00).
          The following example shows cold redundancy is disabled:
          PS C:\IPMItool-1.8.11.i2-win> .\ipmitool.exe raw 0x30 0x2e 0x01

Catatan

Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) dari sistem target harus dikonfigurasi agar akses jarak jauh dapat menggunakan perintah di atas.

Jika BMC tidak dikonfigurasi, dimungkinkan untuk menjalankan perintah IPMI dari sistem operasi host pada sistem target melalui antarmuka in-band dengan menghilangkan opsi perintah seperti alamat IP dan kredensial BMC.
Misalnya, untuk menonaktifkan redundansi dingin:
ipmitool raw 0x30 0x2d 0x01 0x00
ipmiutil cmd 0 20 c0 2d 1 0

Catatan

Integrated Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Intel® Server dapat diakses oleh utilitas terminal standar, siap pakai, sumber terbuka, atau emulator terminal. Salah satu contohnya adalah IPMIUtility yang memungkinkan akses ke informasi status sensor dan kontrol daya. Pelanggan memiliki risiko menggunakan utilitas sumber terbuka. Intel tidak memiliki kontrol pada utilitas ini dan tidak dapat menjamin perbaikan apa pun dengan utilitas ini.

Cold Redundancy juga dikenal sebagai Low-Power State, yang meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan daya ketika beban sistem sedemikian rupa sehingga kedua catu daya tidak diperlukan pada saat yang bersamaan. Saat dalam mode Cold Redundant, hanya catu daya yang dibutuhkan, untuk mendukung efisiensi pengiriman daya terbaik, yang ON.
